My Melrose in Dallas, TX is seeking a cheerful Sales/Cashier to assist customers with payments and packaging, and to contribute to a welcoming in-store experience.

You will operate the register, handle cash, promote loyalty programs, and support merchandising and housekeeping tasks to ensure smooth store operations.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers on entry and exit.
• Ring up purchases accurately on registers and manage cash.
• Maintain orderly cash wrap area.
• Receive payments by cash, credit, or other methods.
• Explain and promote the MStyle Loyalty Program.
• Issue receipts and process refunds or change as needed.
• Count cash at the start of shifts and ensure proper change.
• Assist with floor merchandising and stock replenishment.
• Help with cycle counts and fitting rooms as required.
• Answer customer questions and escalate to a manager if unresolved.
• Keep shelves and counters clean and tidy.

Job DetailsJob Location: 103 - Village at Bachman Lake - Dallas, TX 75220Are you a bright, outgoing person who likes to help other people have a better experience? If so, you could make an ideal cashier! A Sales/Cashier is primarily responsible for helping customers with payment and packaging as they complete their purchases, but they are also often the first store staff that customers encounter. That makes it vitally important for cashiers to do more than just ring up – you also want to be knowledgeable about the store’s merchandise and cheerful when you encounter customer questions. That way, you help to improve their visit by making the store into a warm and welcoming place for them to shop. At Melrose we call this the great in-store customer experience.

Abilities:

• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
• Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and accurately maintain all cash and media at the registers.
• Maintain orderly appearance of cash wrap.
• Receive payment by cash, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Communicate the MStyle Loyalty Program to customers and ask them to sign up.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and general housekeeping when requested by management.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise.
• Participate in preparation for cycle counts.
• Assist customers in the fitting rooms as needed.
• Answer customer questions and get a manager if answer doesn’t solve the issue.
• Clean shelves, counters, tables, racks, fixtures, employee restroom, stockroom, break room, sweep or mop when assigned.

QualificationsQualifications:

Basic PC knowledge, Familiarity with electronic equipment such as scanners, cash register, customer satisfaction-oriented, basic math knowledge, dependability in both attendance and cashier drawer management, a positive attitude that helps improve the customer experience, and the ability to work with a schedule that may be different from week to week.

Typical Physical Demands:

Requires full range of body motion, including, but not limited to: walking, sitting, crouching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, stretching, pushing, pulling, and eye-hand coordination. Requires long periods of standing and walking. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
