Job Overview:

A Bloomingdale’s Sales Professional’s primary role is to guide and inspire our customers to make style a source of creative energy in their lives. With a passion for gracious service, interest in fashion, styling talent, and product knowledge proficiency, they establish and cultivate long-term client relationships both in store and online. They deliver the Bloomingdale’s customer experience through conversation, always being welcoming, engaging, and inquisitive, creating a human connection that our customers seek when shopping in our stores. Sales Professionals actively circulate the sales floor, determine customer needs, share the benefits of our Loyalty programs, and support the shopping experience from start to finish. They also ensure operational excellence by leveraging our store’s fulfillment system, maintaining merchandise standards, and keeping the floor and fitting rooms organized.

Essential Functions:
  1. Create an in-store and online seamless, fun experience; build and cultivate customer relationships
  2. Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and being proficient with technology
  3. Participate in merchandising and operational requirements of the role
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the store or department
  • Reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision
  • Frequent use of computers and technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, to perform job functions and process transactions
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs
