Position Objective:

The Sales Associate is responsible for supporting management in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, where our values and guiding principles are at the forefront of all store operations. This includes ensuring a great customer experience and maximum profitability. We love what we do and believe that with our teams, we are the most amazing place to work, learn, and grow!

Functional Responsibilities:
  1. Drive for Results:
    • Meet sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge to customers; recommend merchandise or assist in locating merchandise based on customer needs.
    • Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, pricing, and visual standards.
    • Handle merchandise, presentation, loss prevention, and visual directives as directed by management.
    • Participate in store visual directives including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.
  2. Customer Experience:
    • Model and promote the MAPS principles, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
    • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns.
    • Maintain efficient register operations, staying current on policies regarding payments, returns, exchanges, and security.
    • Encourage buying decisions at checkout, including gift card sales, and sign up clients for the reward program.
    • Build and maintain a customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
    • Know current product fit and style offerings both in-store and online.
    • Maintain consistent communication with clients via customer books.
  3. Operational Excellence:
    • Support replenishment activities to keep the store full and appealing.
    • Assist with locate fulfillment and visual directives, including floor sets, window changes, signage, etc.
    • Help maintain boutique cleanliness and organization.
  4. Teamwork and Growth:
    • Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
    • Seek personal development opportunities and solicit feedback.
    • Perform other duties as assigned, noting that some duties may vary across brands.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to company technology.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management.
  • Regular attendance and a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Constant walking/standing for 67-100% of an 8-hour shift.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. for 1-33% of an 8-hour shift.
  • Frequent climbing for 34-66% of an 8-hour shift.
