Job summary

Cappel's Ace Hardware in West Des Moines is seeking outgoing, friendly Sales Associates to welcome customers and help with projects. Previous hardware experience is a plus but not required as we provide extensive training.

You’ll assist in receiving, stocking, pricing, and maintaining a clean, inviting store, and you’ll handle register transactions. This is a community-focused role at Ace Hardware that values reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

We are seeking outgoing, friendly, and helpful team members to welcome and assist customers. Previous hardware experience is a plus but not a requirement as we provide extensive training.

The Sales Associate will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. The Associate is also responsible for register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise.

What to expect:

• You’ll work directly with customers welcoming them and helping them find everything necessary to complete their project in one trip.

• You’ll be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
• You must lift up to 50 lbs.
