Position Objective
The Sales Associate supports management in promoting a customer‑ and product‑focused sales culture, ensuring a great customer experience and maximum profitability.
Functional Responsibilities
Drive for Results
- Meet company sales goals using sales techniques and product knowledge; recommend merchandise or help locate items based on customer needs.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, pricing, and visual standards.
- Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other directorial duties.
- Participate in visual directives, including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.
Customer Experience
- Model and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, offering a cohesive omni‑channel experience.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns.
- Provide a fast and efficient register experience, staying current on policies regarding payments, coupons, returns, and exchanges, security practices and other applicable operations.
- Reinforce buying decisions at checkout and achieve add‑on goals, including gift card sales.
- Sign up clients for reward program.
- Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
- Know current product fit and style assortment in store and online.
- Maintain consistent client communication through a customer book.
Operational Excellence
- Support replenishment activities to keep the store full and abundant.
- Assist with location fulfillment.
- Assist with visual directives, including floor sets, window changes, visual presentations, and placement of signage.
- Assist with boutique cleanliness and organization.
Teamwork and Growth
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Seek personal developmental opportunities and readily solicit feedback.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Retail or sales experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with customers, Associates, and Management.
- Regular attendance essential; ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Constant walking/standing – 67–100% of an 8‑hour shift.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. – 1–33% of an 8‑hour shift.
- Frequent climbing – 34–66% of an 8‑hour shift.
