Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in selecting seeds, plants, gardening tools, and outdoor supplies, providing expert advice
• Maintain an organized and attractive merchandise display, ensuring products are well-stocked and properly merchandised to encourage sales
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately, handle cash and card payments, create product orders and manage inventory updates
• Identify plants and gardening supplies through plant identification skills to guide customers effectively
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone or in person

Experience:

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service within gardening, horticulture, or outdoor work environments is preferred
• Knowledge of garden seed, gardening and plant identification required
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and merchandising techniques will help you succeed
• Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—in English are essential; multilingual abilities are a plus
