Job summary

Main Event Caterers in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Sales Associate to support our sales team in driving revenue and coordinating flawless event execution.

You will prospect leads, gather event requirements, present proposals and contracts, and coordinate with other departments for successful planning, including evenings and weekends. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred, with strong communication and MS Office skills.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hungry Sales Associate to support our sales team in driving revenue and ensuring seamless event execution. The ideal candidate will assist in all aspects of the sales process, from initial client contact to post-event follow-up, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in prospecting and qualifying leads for catering opportunities


• Coordinate with clients to gather event requirements, preferences, and budgets


• Prepare and present proposals, menus, and contracts to clients


• Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful event planning and execution


• Maintain accurate client records, contracts, and event details

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Job often operates at off-site locations which may be outdoors and subject to all weather conditions including heat, rain, moisture, slippery surfaces, cold, uneven walking surfaces, etc.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $50-60k. An additional commission percentage will be evaluated at 6-months of employment.
