Job summary

Runnings is seeking a Sales Associate to assist customers in our New York store, deliver excellent service, and support daily store operations. You will greet customers, answer questions, and manage cashier duties with accuracy.

The role includes stocking, pricing, receiving freight, and handling returns, all while maintaining a clean, organized sales floor. This full-time position offers an hourly wage depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in retail preferred.
• Ability to greet and assist customers and answer product questions.
• Cash handling and POS operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with service questions.
• Price merchandise and adjust prices as directed by management.
• Stock and facing merchandise on shelves.
• Assist in receiving freight and organizing products.
• Support cycle counts and inventory checks.
• Answer phone calls and handle inquiries.

Job description

The Sales Associate is responsible to assist customers throughout the retail store. The primary function of the Sales Associate is to provide excellent customer service. This may include greeting customers in the store, cashier responsibilities, answering product related questions, product assembly, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned by manager.
Hourly Pay Range: $17.00-$18.00 Depending on experience.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• The Sales Associate reports directly to the Store Manager.


• The Sales Associate has no direct supervisory authority.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers as they shop in the retail store, assisting with customer service questions.


• Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.


• Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.


• Assist in receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.


• Responsible for assisting in cycle counts.


• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.


• Handle customer transactions utilizing KCX cash register system.


• Responsible for accurate cash handling.


• Responsible for handling customer returns.

OTHER DUTIES

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
