Job summary

IKEA is seeking a part-time, permanent Retail Associate in New York. You will assist customers, offer home-furnishing advice and keep the floor organized to ensure a great shopping experience. You’ll act as a product expert and guide shoppers toward best sellers while supporting in-store displays.

You’ll work 12-19 hours per week with weekend and Thursday/Friday availability, earning $19.91–$28.12 per hour. Benefits listed are available to eligible co-workers, enhancing work-life balance.

Qualifications

1 year experience in retail sales, preferably in the home furnishing sector.

Responsibilities

Assist customers and advise on best home solutions.
Keep sales floor tidy, priced and stocked for a positive shopping experience.
Act as an expert and consultant on home furnishings to inspire and inform customers.
Guide customers toward top-selling and prioritized products.
Assemble display products for new product introductions.

What you'll be doing day to day

Assisting customers and providing advice on the best solutions for their homes.
Keeping your sales floor tidy, priced and fully stocked to give customers a positive shopping experience.
Acting as an expert and consultant on a broad range of home furnishing solutions, products and services to inspire and inform customers.
Guiding customers toward top-selling and prioritized products.
Assembling display products for the introduction of new products.

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.91 - $28.12.
