Job summary

Talbots in Nags Head, NC is seeking a Regular/Part time Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional customer experience and promote Talbots products. You will help manage store needs and engage with customers throughout the shopping journey.

The role requires a passion for fashion, strong communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including evenings and weekends. Training and discount benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and promote products.
• Support store management to grow the business.
• Utilize Concierge and other service enhancers to deepen client relationships.
• Interact with multiple customers and multitask during peak hours.
• Stay informed on fashion trends and product knowledge.
• Create outfits for customers and suggest matching items.
• Meet sales and service metrics including clientelling and outreach.
• Complete operational tasks such as filling orders and replenishment.

• Have open availability of (15 to 20) hours per week.
• Flexible availability based on the needs of the business including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
• Take an active role in assisting the management team to build store business.
• Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships including active use of Concierge.
• Service multiple customers at a time, multi-task and/or handle projects simultaneously.
• Be aware of fashion trends and seek information about all new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, fashion etc.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.
• Maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching and feedback.
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including: clientelling/outreach, appointment setting and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete projects as assigned including operational assignments: filling orders, replenishment, recovery etc.
