Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Optical Specialist at Eyeglass World to provide warm, confident service from selection to pickup. You will assist with eyewear fitting, educate customers, and support in-store flow for exams and orders.

Qualified candidates have 1+ year in optical or retail, strong communication, and multitasking abilities; bilingual skills are a plus. Join a team focused on brand-aligned, high-quality customer experiences.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required).
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills (Required).
• Clear communication and ability to educate customers effectively (Required).
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction (Required).
• Bilingual abilities (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Create an Exceptional Customer Experience.
• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Own Finish & Quality Excellence.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff.
• Operate with Precision & Care.
• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion.
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
• Bring the Brand to Life.
• Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction.
• Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store.
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience.

The Optical Specialist is customer-facing role at the heart of the Eyeglass World in-store experience. This position brings the brand to life through confident service, attention to detail, and ownership of the final moments that matter most, from pre-exam support to eyewear readiness, fitting, and pickup. As a key member of the team, this role ensures every customer interaction feels seamless, elevated, and on-brand. This role blends customer connection, optical support, and finishing excellence to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences.

Essential Functions:
