PAY RATE: $16.50 per hour

The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program that assists men and women in completing our rehabilitation program. As our enthusiastic and hardworking Sales Associate/Material Handler, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Greeting all customers and donors warmly, providing prompt and courteous assistance to meet their needs.
  • Stocking priced items for display on the sales floor.
  • Maintaining store and donation area cleanliness, organization, and performing cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Following all POS/Cash Register policies in accordance with TSA procedures.
  • Ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
  • Attending monthly store meetings.
  • Receiving, unloading, and accurately stocking incoming inventory.
  • Inspecting products for defects and damages to ensure quality.
  • Assisting donors with the removal of donated items and providing receipts.
  • Sorting and stacking donated materials properly as instructed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications to be considered for this position:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to accurately operate POS/Cash Register and handle cash transactions.
  • Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, colleagues, customers, and donors.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects like carts, merchandise, and fixtures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days a week. Work schedules are set by management, and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate coverage. Part-time shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
