Job summary

Coastal Farm & Ranch in Eugene, OR is seeking a Store Associate to greet customers, answer questions, and help locate products. You will load merchandise safely and assist with floor moves, merchandising, and housekeeping to keep the store looking sharp.

Applicants should be able to work outdoors/in all weather, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle daily tasks with careful attention to safety and product knowledge. Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer, answer customer questions, and help customers find the location of products.
• Safely carry out and load merchandise utilizing established procedures.
• Follow all established safety procedures including wearing appropriate safety garments.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Constant radio communication with all associates.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the products Coastal Farm sells.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information and merchandise promotions.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
• Help in other departments when needed.
• Perform daily cleaning – such, but not limited to, vacuuming, replacing full trashes with new trash bags, and sweeping the department or warehouse floor.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Primary Purpose

• Ability frequently lift and move up to 50lbs. Ability to lift up to 100lbs (hay bales)


• Ability to perform frequent walking and repetitive bending.


• Ability to work indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions.
