The responsibilities of the Sales Associate include providing clinical and customer support in hospitals and procedures, ensuring customer service, sales logistics, technical expertise, and product knowledge. Support sales objectives, cover cases, and maintain relationships within a geographic territory, offering the full portfolio, services, and solutions for assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in retaining and supporting existing customers and support product conversions with new customers. Help achieve sales goals and market share objectives.
  • Guide surgeons in the operating room, demonstrating product knowledge and ensuring proper utilization of DePuy Synthes products.
  • Support customers during surgeries, ensuring equipment readiness and providing consultation to Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments.
  • Troubleshoot, provide technical assistance, handle customer requests, and manage hospital billing and purchase orders.
  • Share insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic teams; prepare sales reports as needed.
  • Maintain and deploy equipment and assets, ensuring product availability and that promotional materials are well-presented.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and retention, highlighting DePuy Synthes’ value proposition and differentiators.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or
  • Associate Degree or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.) + at least 2 years of related experience or
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience or
  • Recently transitioned from Active Military Duty

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a surgical environment.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel, including weekends and overnight stays.
  • Residency or willingness to relocate to the posted territory.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Efficiency, organization, self-motivation, positivity, and proactivity.
  • Preferred: Technical knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and protocols.
