The Rescue Mission is seeking aPart Time Sales Associate IIto work in ourIthacaThriftyShopper.The Sales Associate II serves customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise. This position assists store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store. Promotes Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers. Provides customer service by greeting the customers with a smile and hello, providing information, and answering questions. Responsible for opening and closing procedures in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager. Responsible for cash reconciliation at the end of shifts in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager. Displays merchandise by stocking shelves, counters, racks and tables, as needed. Promotes sales by setting up displays, making announcements as directed by the supervisor and informing customers of the special sales. Obtains payments by processing cash, checks, sales discounts, and credit cards. Maintains the clean and orderly condition of the store. Contributes by displaying a team attitude. Creates a safe environment by complying with procedures and policies. Assists in identifying, reporting and solving issues to the store management.
$16.30 per hour
