Position Overview

The Rescue Mission is seeking a Full Time Sales Associate II (Key Holder) to work at our New Hartford Thrifty Shopper. The Sales Associate II serves customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise. This role supports store management in maintaining an efficient, service-oriented environment and promotes the Rescue Mission's mission while building customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers with a smile, provide information, and answer questions.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures in the absence of managers.
  • Reconcile cash at the end of shifts.
  • Stock shelves, counters, racks, and tables.
  • Set up displays, make announcements, and inform customers of sales.
  • Process payments via cash, checks, discounts, and credit cards.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Display a team attitude and promote a safe environment.
  • Report and resolve issues to store management.
Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED.

Skills & Experience: 1-3 years retail experience preferred, customer service experience, cash register and reconciliation experience preferred, emotionally mature, able to handle stress professionally.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and in flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stand for long periods.
Compensation & Benefits
