Rescue Mission Alliance in Endwell, NY is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Sales Associate I to help customers, display and price merchandise, and support store operations.

The role requires 1-3 years retail experience preferred, ability to work unsupervised, flexible hours including nights and weekends, and a focus on customer service. Training and a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

1-3 years retail experience preferred.
Previous cash register and reconciliation experience preferred.
Emotionally mature; able to handle stress professionally and in public.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and days.

Must be able to stand for long periods; color coded racks and sizing by number must be visually checked.

Responsibilities

Serve customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing and tagging merchandise.
Assist store management with running an efficient, service-oriented store.
Promote Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers.
Open and close procedures in the absence of store manager/assistant manager.
Process payments and reconcile cash at end of shifts when manager is absent.

The Rescue Mission is seeking a TemporaryFull-Time Sales Associate Ito work in our EndwellThrifty Shopper Store. The Sales Associate I serves customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise. This position assists store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store. Promotes Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers. Provides customer service by greeting the customers with a smile and hello, providing information, and answering questions. Responsible for opening and closing procedures in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager. Responsible for cash reconciliation at the end of shifts in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager. Displays merchandise by stocking shelves, counters, racks and tables, as needed. Promotes sales by setting up displays, making announcements as directed by the supervisor and informing customers of the special sales. Obtains payments by processing cash, checks, sales discounts, and credit cards. Maintains the clean and orderly condition of the store. Contributes by displaying a team attitude. Creates a safe environment by complying with procedures and policies. Assists in identifying, reporting and solving issues to the store management.

Education Requirements

High School diplomas or GED certificate

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Needed to Perform Effectively in this Position
