Description

The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers throughout the retail store, with a specialized knowledge of firearms. The primary function is to provide excellent customer service, which includes greeting customers, cashier responsibilities, answering product-related questions, product assembly, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned by the manager. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to comply with federal regulations regarding the sale of firearms. A strong knowledge of firearms and their sales is required. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings (until 9 pm), and rotating weekends/holidays, is necessary.

Hourly Pay Range: $14.00-$17.00 (Depending on experience)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Greet customers and assist with their questions.
  2. Price and re-price store merchandise as directed by management.
  3. Stock and face merchandise on shelves.
  4. Assist in receiving freight and organizing incoming products.
  5. Participate in cycle counts.
  6. Answer and handle incoming telephone calls appropriately.
  7. Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
  8. Handle cash accurately.
  9. Manage customer returns.

Mental and Physical Requirements

  1. Excellent customer service skills.
  2. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
  3. Long periods of standing.
  4. Frequent bending and twisting.

Working Environment and Conditions

  1. Retail store environment.
  2. Cold and warm conditions.
  3. Irregular work schedule.

Computer, calculator, cash register/scanner, telephone, fax, copy machine, computer software, and network.
