Job summary

Sun Tan City in Sioux City, IA is seeking a full-time Sales Associate to greet clients, present tanning and spa services, process payments, and maintain a welcoming salon.

This role rewards energetic team players with a performance-based bonus, advancement opportunities, paid time off, and product discounts. Evening and weekend shifts are required; prior customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to meet minimum sales requirements.
• Comfort with multitasking in a fast-paced salon.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure clients' needs are met.
• Engage with clients, build relationships, and recommend products and services.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and assist with operations during shifts.
• Process transactions and handle payments accurately.
• Work with the team to meet sales targets and promote promotions.
• Support in scheduling and handle evenings/weekends as required.
• Work cohesively with a team in a fast-paced salon environment while upholding all company policies and procedures.
• Work evenings and weekends; close at 6pm on Sat & Sun.
• We are closed on the 5 Major holidays.

Task and Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Basic Computer skills and knowledge.
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring all your clients’ needs are met and are treated professionally.
• Ability to properly engage with all clients by building good relationships and understanding and meeting their needs as a client.
• Ability to make recommendations for products and services.
• Ability to maintain the minimum sales requirements.
• Ability to multi-task such as cleaning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients upon their arrival.
• Assists with maintaining cleanliness of salon tanning rooms, lobby area, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
• Ability to work cohesively with a team in an upbeat and fast-paced salon environment while upholding all company policies and procedures.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends are a Must, we close at 6pm on Sat & Sun.
• We are closed on the 5 Major holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
• Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors.
• Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
