Job Description

Location: Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA

NTN has an opening in our Industrial Sales Department for an OEM Associate Sales Engineer (in Rotational Development).

Rotational Development Program:

  • The successful candidate will be based out of the Chicago area for 18-24 months for training within NTN departments to learn NTN’s products and systems. This will be a hybrid work environment, with 2-4 days per week in the office.
  • After completing the development program, the candidate will be required to relocate to one of the following territories: Texas / Oklahoma region. This will be a remote position with 25-30% travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain contacts (Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality) at major OEM accounts within the area of responsibility. Assist in managing these relationships at all levels of OEM customers.
  • Develop new OEM customer bearing specifications to ensure NTN is the preferred supplier.
  • Drive development projects leading to profitable growth.
  • Understand business drivers and forecast order levels accurately.
  • Meet or exceed business target plans.
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and manage own travel.
  • Project management skills to coordinate support across NTN and customer departments.
  • Interest in relocating after 12-18 months to the primary territory.
  • Willingness to travel 25-30% within the Oklahoma / Texas region.
