Job summary

Rodda Paint Company is seeking a Sales Associate for the Denfeld South Bend location. The role focuses on delivering a great customer experience, assisting with product sales, and supporting store operations.

You will engage customers, recommend products, process orders, and perform local deliveries in company vehicles. The position requires lifting up to 60 lbs, standing, and flexible scheduling in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older and pass required pre-employment background screens.
• Present and maintain a valid driver’s license from resident state and acceptable DMV record.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, PPE rules, and store protocols.
• High School Graduate or GED equivalent; basic mathematical skills, fully conversant, speaking and listening.
• Punctual attendance required; scheduling must remain flexible and available.
• The work environment consists of physical conditions typical of a retail store.
• Full-physical mobility is required to perform this job; lift up to 60 lbs. with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, assessing needs and making project product recommendations.
• Deliver an outstanding customer service experience by being knowledgeable on product applications and offerings.
• Make local deliveries to jobsites and customers in Company vehicle.
• Order processing, accurate tinting and shaking of paint, product, and pricing inquiries.
• Inventory processes, receiving duties; putting away, rotating stock, etc.
• Participate in keeping the store organized, clean, tidy, and inviting.
• All other store operational duties as assigned.
• Operate equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, load and unload vehicles safely.

Physical Requirements:

• The work environment consists of physical conditions typical of a commercial store, sales floor environment. The job is performed while standing with regular walking and the lifting and carrying of various paint containers and related items. The surfaces are hard, flat cement floors.
• Full-physical mobility is required for the performance of every store position. Employees are required to use provided PPE, lift and movement assist methods and equipment to reduce the risk of injury.
• Including but not limited to: Sitting, Standing and Walking, Lifting floor to wait, Lifting wait to shoulder, Lifting shoulder to overhead, Bending/Stooping, Squatting/Kneeling, Foot Controls, Repetitive Motions and Fine finger manipulation hand controls
