Job summary

Rodda Paint Company in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a full-time Sales Associate to deliver a great customer experience. You will assist customers, recommend products, process orders, and support store operations with accuracy and a friendly attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and pass pre-employment background checks.
• Valid driver’s license from resident state with acceptable DMV record.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE rules, and store protocols.
• High School Graduate or GED; basic math; good communication skills.
• Punctual attendance required; flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, assess needs, and make product recommendations.
• Deliver outstanding customer service with product knowledge.
• Make local deliveries to jobsites and customers in Company vehicle.
• Process orders, tinting, and pricing inquiries.
• Manage inventory and receiving duties; rotate stock as needed.
• Keep the store organized, clean, and inviting.
• Perform other store operational duties as assigned.
• Operate equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks safely.

Job Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, assessing needs and making project product recommendations.

• Order processing, accurate tinting and shaking of paint, product, and pricing inquiries.

• Operate equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, load, and unload vehicles in a safe manner.

Knowledge, Skills, Requirements and Essential Functions

• Must be 18 years of age or older and pass required pre-employment background screens
• Present & maintain a valid driver’s license from resident state & acceptable DMVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, PPE rules, and store protocols.
• High School Graduate or GED equivalent; basic mathematical skills, fully conversant, speaking and listening.
• Punctual attendance required; scheduling must remain flexible & available
• The work environment consists of physical conditions typical of a retail store.
• Full-physical mobility is required to perform this job; constant standing and ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs. with assistance.

Physical Requirements

• The work environment consists of physical conditions typical of a commercial store, sales floor environment. The job is performed while standing with regular walking and the lifting and carrying of various paint containers and related items. The surfaces are hard, flat cement floors.
• Full-physical mobility is required for the performance of every store position. Employees are required to use provided PPE, lift and movement assist methods and equipment to reduce the risk of injury.
• Including but not limited to: Sitting, Standing and Walking, Lifting floor to wait, Lifting wait to shoulder, Lifting shoulder to overhead, Bending/Stooping, Squatting/Kneeling, Foot Controls, Repetitive Motions and Fine finger manipulation hand controls
