Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a part-time Sales Associate at NS Great Lakes in Illinois. You will be the face of the brand, assisting customers and helping them recognize the value of our products and services.

You will learn our offerings and articulate our purpose in a professional, educational way. You will maintain store appearance, operate a POS system, and stay informed about current promotions and trends to provide a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of products/merchandise.
Retail experience preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; read/write/interpret safety rules and manuals.
Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
Ability to multi-task, work in a team, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

Proactively engage and connect with customers; understand their needs.
Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about events and promotions.
Provide premier customer service and maintain store appearance.
Cross-sell and upsell; know the store layout and current promotions.
Process POS transactions, handle cash and returns, and complete required paperwork.
