Position Objective

The Sales Associate supports management in fostering a customer- and product-focused sales culture. Our goal is to ensure a great customer experience and maximize profitability, all while embodying our values and guiding principles. Functional Responsibilities
  1. Drive for Results: Meet sales goals using effective sales techniques, communicate product knowledge, and assist customers in merchandise selection based on their needs.
  2. Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, pricing, and visual standards.
  3. Handle merchandise, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed.
  4. Participate in visual directives, including store sets and zone maintenance.
Customer Experience
  1. Model and promote the MAPS principles, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
  2. Resolve customer concerns promptly.
  3. Ensure a fast, efficient register experience, staying current on policies.
  4. Encourage buying decisions at checkout and promote add-on sales like gift cards.
  5. Register clients for reward programs.
  6. Build and maintain client relationships through clienteling and wardrobing.
  7. Know current product fit and style offerings both in-store and online.
  8. Maintain consistent client communication via customer books.
Operational Excellence
  1. Support replenishment activities to keep the store well-stocked.
  2. Assist with locate fulfillment and visual displays, including floor sets and signage.
  3. Help maintain store cleanliness and organization.
Teamwork and Growth
  1. Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
  2. Seek personal development opportunities and feedback.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned, noting duties may vary across brands.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Retail or sales experience preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication with customers, team members, and management
  • Regular attendance and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Constant walking/standing during 67-100% of an 8-hour shift
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33%)
  • Frequent climbing (34-66%)
