Job summary

Wild Birds Unlimited in Denville, NJ, is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate (15 hours/week including Saturdays) with a passion for nature to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a retail setting providing excellent customer service, a desire to learn, and a team-player mentality.

You will deliver outstanding customer service, assist customers with bird feeding and related products, and operate a computer-based POS system.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail with customer service focus.
• Able to work 15 hours per week including Saturdays.
• Must lift and carry up to 20-50 lbs. repeatedly.

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Sales Associate (15 hours / week including Saturdays) with a passion for nature to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a retail setting providing excellent customer service, a desire to learn, and a team-player mentality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service: Greet and assist customers, and provide expert advice on bird feeding, birdwatching, and nature-related products.
• Retail experience or similar required,
• Must have a desire to deliver high-energy customer service,

• Comfortable with computers and able to use a computer-based POS system (training provided).

Qualifications

• Interest in the backyard bird feeding hobby or nature is preferred but not required. We will train you!
• Comfortable actively engaging customers with all aspects of the backyard bird feeding hobby. From bird feeders to bird seed to bird baths & houses. Again, We will train you!
• Minimum 3 years experience selling in a retail type environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20-50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will include closing and weekend shifts, and working during busy holiday periods and sales.
• Licensed Driver with 5+ years of good driving history.
