Job summary

Wild Birds Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate (15-20 hrs/week) to join our Arlington, TX store. This role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge in birds and nature, and a team-oriented environment.

You will greet customers, help with purchases, stock shelves, assist with inventory, and participate in e-commerce shipping while maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate (15-20 hrs per week) with a passion for nature to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail sales, ability to provide excellent customer service, a desire to learn, and a team-player mentality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service: Greet and assist customers, and provide expert advice on bird feeding, birdwatching, and nature-related products.
• Will assist in backroom stocking, taking inventory, jugging seed, and maintaining cleanliness of the front and back.
• Will assist in e-commerce shipping.
• Will deliver high-energy customer service.

Qualifications

• Seeking a backyard bird feeding hobbyist or someone who has a strong Interest in backyard bird feeding or nature lover.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20-50 lbs. repeatedly.Must have ability to work in a fast-paced setting and spend extended periods on your feet,
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will include opening, closing, weekend shifts, and working during busy holiday periods and sales,
• Previous experience with sales and customer service is highly preferred; or must be willing, able and trainable to do such; we are not looking for cashiers, we are seeking sales associates who will engage with customers.
• Must be comfortable with computers/technology, and able to use a computer-based POS system (training provided).
• Must be drama free.
