Job summary

Norman’s Gift Shops, Inc. in West Goshen Center, West Chester, PA is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate to join a caring team and provide a memorable customer experience. You will help customers select gifts, process transactions, and contribute to a welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong aptitude for basic math functions including percentages and general arithmetic.
• Able to continuously stand/walk and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Infuse our Customer CARE program and drive retail sales while building relationships.
• Prioritize the customer and enroll Crown Rewards program goals.
• Learn and operate the register system with accuracy for a positive POS experience.
• Develop selling skills to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
• Proactively learn product knowledge and restock displays as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Our Sales Associates are the key contributors in providing a ‘caring team’ atmosphere for our customers. They are most accessible to the consumer and are the primary resource of knowledge on the sales floor. We expect our Sales Associates to show initiative, be a team player, and exemplify excellence during every aspect of the customer experience.

• Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which you drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business.
• Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
• Meet store specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals on a consistent basis.
• Ability to learn and be efficient with our register system to ensure a pleasant point of sale experience for our customers. Accountable for cash register accuracy and basic mathematical skills.
• Learn and utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive customer satisfaction.
• Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to use when selling to the customer.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
