Job summary

Tempur Sealy International in Huntington Station, NY is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service while selling Tempur-Pedic and Sealy products. The role includes assisting with store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable, including opening/closing and duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years retail experience, preferably with high-end or custom products.
• Strong sales skills in a consultative environment.
• Proven ability to lead, direct, and train others in a store setting.
• Familiarity with current best-practice retail methods and standards.
• Able to collaborate effectively, lead when needed, and follow when appropriate.
• Fluent with current retail software / computer systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store.
• Provide leadership in all areas of the sales process, including customer service and care, ensuring professional appearance and adherence to policies and brand.
• Continue to perform all Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level.
• Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving problems in the store and among the sales team.
• Assist the store manager with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other needs.
• Address and escalate store issues to the Store Manager as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
