Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas is seeking a friendly cashier to join our store team in Texarkana. You will handle transactions, assist customers, and help maintain an organized checkout area to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have strong math and communication skills, can stand for long periods, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Prior cashier experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A Valid ID is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions using a cash register.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer and ensure proper change is given.

• Bag and/or wrap merchandise as required.
• Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory as needed.
