Job summary

Ace Hardware in Swanton, VT is hiring friendly, outgoing team members to welcome and assist customers in a fast-paced, community-focused store. We provide extensive training, so hardware experience is a plus but not required.

You will help customers find everything they need for their projects, greet visitors, and keep the floor energized. Expect light lifting up to 80 pounds, standing most shifts, and a team that values service, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them find items for their project.
• Assist on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and stock.
• Handle basic customer questions and escalate issues as needed.

What to expect:

• You’ll work directly with customers welcoming them and helping them find everything necessary to complete their project in one trip.
• Like working in a fast-paced and fun environment? We are high energy so time will fly.
• You’ll be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours). There is no sitting while on the sales floor
• Greet all customers entering the store, bring them to what they need, and thank them for their business when they leave.
• Forward any customer issues that can not be resolved to a keyholder to help make the customer happy.
• You must lift up to 80 pounds
• No cell phones or smart watches will be allowed on the sales floor.
