Job summary

United Bank in Sterling, VA is seeking a Sales Associate who will deliver courteous customer service, complete the bank’s in-house training, and support daily teller and sales activities in a fast-paced branch. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the Bank’s in-house Sales Associate Training Program.
• Previous customer service contact experience is highly desired.
• Ability to demonstrate a sales‑oriented professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills required; verbal and written communication skills in Spanish or an additional language a plus.
• Experience in handling money preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) required.
• Understanding and working knowledge of an appropriate core banking system is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented.
• Professionalism and confidentiality are essential.
• Flexibility on work schedule as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
• Receive customer transaction documents at the teller counter or desk.
• Converse and exchange information with staff at all levels.
• Observe, perceive, identify, and translate data.
• Lift and carry up to twenty pounds.
