Job summary

Five Below is seeking part-time Sales Associates to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales. You will greet customers, share product knowledge, assist with checkout, and promote store events.

• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.

• Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions and turning returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management, informing them about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently operate the cash register.
• Handle merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to 5‑10 feet high.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position oneself to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, especially in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate and exchange information with customers via telephone and face‑to‑face, and with managers and coworkers, providing accurate information.
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and traveling to and from the stock room for retrieving and putting away merchandise.
• Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts, and travel as required.
• Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80 % of the time.
