Job summary

Wood Shed Lumber & Hardware Supply is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to help customers, load purchases, and keep the store and yard organized. No lumber yard experience required; we provide training and value a willingness to learn and pitch in.

You will stock shelves, unload freight, assist with pickup and delivery orders, and learn to use pallet jacks and forklifts. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork, with a flexible schedule including weekends.

Like staying busy, helping customers, and learning something new? Wood Shed is looking for Sales Associates to help customers and keep our store and yard running smoothly.

No lumber yard experience? That's okay. We'll help you learn the products, equipment, and daily work. If you show up ready to work, help your teammates, and take care of customers, we'd like to meet you.

What you'll do

• Help customers find materials and load their purchases
• Stock shelves and keep the store and yard organized
• Unload incoming freight and help prepare orders for pickup or delivery
• Pitch in where needed, including lumber, tools, rentals, and the yard
• Learn to use equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, with training provided
• Help keep work areas clean and safe

What you'll bring

• A dependable attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to work well with customers and teammates
• Comfort with a physically active job that includes standing, walking, and working indoors and outdoors
• The ability to handle building materials and perform the lifting required for the role, up to 80 lbs.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

Experience in retail, construction, warehouse work, or customer service is helpful, but it isn't required. We welcome people who are just getting started and those bringing years of experience from another kind of work.
