Overview

Part‑time Sales Associate – responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while driving strong sales and maintaining a well‑organized store. Position Type: Hourly, Starting At: $17.28.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
• Promote store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions and turning returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback to management in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, hand‑held and mobile devices.
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers and handle interactions courteously and professionally.
• Basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently operate the cash register.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25lbs and placing/removing merchandise up to a height of 5‑10feet.
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate accurately with customers and coworkers, via telephone and face‑to‑face.
• Assist customers across the sales floor and to and from the stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include overnight shifts and travel.
• Interpret email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and SOPs.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for at least 80% of the time.
