Job summary

Ace Hardware in Norwich, CT is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service, meet sales quotas, and help customers select products and solutions. You will greet customers, answer questions, demonstrate product features, and assist with pricing, discounts, and after-sales services.

You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs. Expect two weeks advance scheduling and a team-focused workplace that values reliability and helpfulness.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Understanding of the retail sales process.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers

• Inventory product in the yard or on the retail floor
• Maintain organization of the yard by operating a forklift or pallet jack

Job description

We are looking for a Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service and meet sales quotas for our business. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability. Pay is commensurate with experience and retail sales experience is highly desirable.
