Job summary

Haven Hospice Attic Resale Store in Lake City, FL is seeking a friendly Attic Sales Associate for a part-time role, 20-24 hours per week, Monday through Saturday 9am-6pm. You will deliver excellent customer service and support daily store operations including merchandising, sales, and donations processing.

The ideal candidate enjoys retail, has cash-handling experience, and is motivated to contribute to a community-focused nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cashier in retail, preferably apparel/thrift.
• Florida driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately, including handling cash and refunds.
• Practice suggestive selling and improve the shopping experience.
• Assist with product rotation, pricing, stocking, and merchandising.
• Keep checkout area clean, stocked, and safe.
• Greet donors and schedule donation pickups.
• Identify improvements to store operations or customer service.

Responsibilities

As a n Attic Sales Associate , You will:

• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, including handling cash, checks, gift certificates, traveler's checks, coupons, and refunds


• Practice suggestive selling and use other techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience


• Assist with product rotation, pricing, stocking, and merchandising to ensure a well-organized and appealing sales floor


• Keep the checkout area clean, well-stocked, and safe at all times


• Answer phones, provide donation information, and schedule donation pickups as needed


• Greet and assist donors; accept donations and provide appropriate tax forms


• Demonstrate critical thinking by identifying and recommending improvements to store operations or customer service processes

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent


• Previous experience in retail environment as a cashier, preferably in apparel, thrift/consignment


• Valid Florida Driver's license and Insurance
