Summer Intern or Sales Associate in EV charging

Location: Remote (Houston)

Type: Part-time / Contract / Internship

Duration: Summer 2025, with potential to grow into a Sales Associate or longer contract

Compensation: Hourly, $12-$20/hr (commensurate with experience)

Start Date: Flexible (ASAP preferred)

Sales & Special Projects

You’re a great fit if you’re:

  • Willing to make 30-50 cold calls each day and understand that sales is the backbone of every company
  • Outgoing personality & upbeat attitude
  • Interested in speaking with Houston business owners & leaders while growing your network
  • Interested to excel in sales
  • Competitive and goal-oriented
  • Confident with excellent communication skills — written and spoken
  • Okay with repetitive tasks and/or ambiguity
  • Optimistic & comfortable with rejection and testing new approaches

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Building and managing lead lists
  • Outreach to restaurants, hotels, and local businesses
  • Researching and identifying target businesses in Houston and other metros
  • Making cold calls, emails, DMs, and in-person visits (if local)
  • Booking meetings with decision-makers
  • Supporting social media efforts on Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok

Bonus Points (but not required):

  • 1+ years experience in sales, marketing, or customer-facing roles
  • Familiarity with Houston's food scene
  • Existing relationships with business owners in restaurants or hospitality
  • Knowledge of the EV charging industry / drive an EV
