Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Fort Worth is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver fast, friendly service, greet customers with a smile, and assess needs. You will maintain a clean, well-stocked floor and explain product benefits clearly while driving sales through good-better-best options and add-ons.

Responsibilities include handling cash, processing transactions, and assisting with inventory. Flexibility for evenings/weekends and a team-focused store environment are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Must have a clean driver's record and meet driver qualifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment background check.

Scope Data & Work Environment

• Interacts professionally with fellow Team Members.
• Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude.
• Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and lifting.
• Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Work involves some irregularities and difficulties with repetitive and varied tasks.
• Primarily retail store setting, however frequently exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, dampness and battery acid as is normal to warehouse environment.
• Stress associated with workplace pressure and the retail environment.
• Exposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle.
