Retail Sales Associate – Job Description

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The Associate will provide a great in‑store shopping experience for our retail customers while assisting with tasks such as stocking, cleaning, folding merchandise, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room to ensure the store is safe and inviting.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company SOP.
• Deliver a great customer experience by processing transactions quickly and accurately, reducing wait time.
• Positively resolve customer service issues, communicate resolutions to management, and determine escalation if needed.
• Drive credit and loyalty member programs by explaining benefits and encouraging customer participation.
• Perform other essential functions as directed by the supervisor.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Education: High School or Equivalent.
• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant retail experience, minimum 6 months.
• Proficient with technology such as iPad and registers.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and non‑business hours.
• Meets physical requirements.
