Yesway is hiring a Store Associate in Artesia, NM. You will handle guest transactions, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure products are properly stocked and priced. You may assist with prepared foods and support overall store operations.

Ideal candidates bring hospitality experience, basic math skills, and the ability to resolve guest concerns promptly. This on-site role includes a focus on customer service and teamwork within the Yesway brand.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Basic math and cash handling accuracy required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and ensure timely transactions and store cleanliness.
• Maintain proper product placement, pricing and stocking.
• Process sales using the POS system and assist with food prep as directed.
• Support store maintenance and general duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

• Ensure hospitality for all store quests by ensuring timely guest transactions, facilities/store cleanliness, and implementation of Yesway standards;
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner;
• Ensure the proper placement, pricing and stocking of merchandise in the store;
• Process sales transactions, using appropriate equipment;
• Prepare cooked foods as directed by Store Manager or Assistant Manager;
• Maintains shelves, counter, floor, glass and equipment following store maintenance schedule;
• Stock shelves with merchandise, block shelves, bag ice and maintain soft drink bags-in-box; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Move merchandise/equipment weighing up to a maximum of 60 lbs.
• Standing on concrete floors for a standard 8 hour shift.
• Receive and stock merchandise at various heights in designated store locations (normally requires using stooping, bending and stretching motions).

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
Certification:
Successful completion of required certification testing upon employment.
