Job Title: Sales Associate / Material Handler

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

Department: Retail

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate POS/Cash Register
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
• Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as carts, fixtures, furniture, etc.
• Ability to operate a telephone
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Greet customers and donors, providing prompt and courteous assistance
2. Stock items on the sales floor according to Salvation Army standards
3. Sort donations as per Salvation Army standards
4. Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including cleaning windows, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restrooms and donation areas
5. Operate POS/Cash Register following TSA policies
6. Report safety hazards and maintain safety standards
7. Follow HR policies and attend monthly store meetings
8. Adhere to dress code policies
9. Work flexible schedules to ensure store coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
10. Unload, stock, and inspect incoming inventory
11. Assist donors courteously and provide receipts
12. Sort and stack donations properly
13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management
