Job summary

Design Within Reach is seeking a Sales Assistant in Paramus, NJ to support day-to-day store operations, assist with order processing, delivery coordination, and client follow-up. You’ll help maintain visual displays while growing your knowledge of products and design principles.

You’ll report to the Assistant Manager and work with sales and visual teams. Prior retail or customer-facing experience is a plus; training on Salesforce and design software is provided. Able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail, or customer service.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and navigating websites.
• Willingness to learn systems like Salesforce and design software (we’ll train you!).
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and move items as needed.

Store Hours: Open daily, Sunday through Saturday (weekend and holiday availability required)

About the Role:

As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support the team and clients by helping with day-to-day operations in the store. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in sales support, customer service, inventory, and visual merchandising. This is a support role, ideal for someone early in their career who’s eager to learn and grow in a creative, design‑focused environment.
