Bergdorf Goodman, a flagship luxury retailer, seeks a Selling Assistant to support Personal Shoppers and maintain an elegant client environment in a fast-paced, high-end setting on 5th Avenue. The role focuses on seamless post-sales follow-up, accurate data entry, and contributing to a superior customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Experience in luxury retail is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Personal Shopper in preparing for and executing selling appointments.
• Ring transactions accurately at the POS.
• Complete post-appointment tasks including order tracking, alterations, and thank you notes.
• Organize appointment scheduling and manage the Shopper’s calendar.
• Maintain precise client data in Connect and at POS.
• Support digital selling activities and social media as directed.
• Support gifting initiatives with the PCR team.
• Return unsold merchandise to stock after appointments.
• Ensure fitting rooms are clean and well maintained.

YOU WILL BE:

The Selling Assistant provides essential support to the Personal Shopper, ensuring smooth operations for sales appointments and maintaining an organized, professional client environment. This role is crucial for executing all post-sales activities and managing client data.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Sales & Client Support

• Assist the Personal Shopper in preparing for and executing selling appointments.
• Ring transactions accurately at the Point of Sale (POS).
• Complete all post-appointment follow-up tasks, including order tracking, managing alterations, and writing thank you notes.
• Help organize appointment scheduling and manage the Shopper’s calendar.
• Enter and maintain precise clientele information in Connect and at POS.
• Assist with Digital selling activities and maintaining a Social Media presence as directed.
• Support the organization of gifting initiatives and experiences for Top Clients in partnership with the PCR team.

Operational Duties

• Ensure all unsold merchandise is efficiently returned to stock post-appointment.
• Ensure the cleanliness of fitting rooms by coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance services when necessary.
• Perform any additional duties and responsibilities, including projects, tasks, and activities as required to support the Personal Shopper and team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING :

• Passion for providing a luxury client experience and strong knowledge of fashion
• Any additional duties and responsibilities including projects, tasks, and activities as required
• High School Diploma / equivalency required.
• Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS :

The Hourly rate for this position is between $22.00-$24.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Salary Range $19.61 - $24.51*

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
