Job Summary:

Responsible for developing independent account business with an emphasis on overall profitability through both new sales and account penetration. Promote and sell company-branded products to meet sales objectives. Support customer service activities for regional and/or national chain customers to increase market visibility and share. Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze sales territory and customer data to generate additional business; sample products; plan sales strategies including territory management; conduct effective sales presentations.
  • Grow sales and profit margins to meet established goals.
  • Establish new customer accounts by determining pricing, coordinating with Credit Department, and scheduling orders and deliveries; follow up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating efforts with team members; may personally make deliveries in emergencies.

  • Monitor accounts for credit compliance and follow up on issues to minimize receivable problems.
  • Stay informed about pricing trends within the territory, especially for market-driven/commodity products, to maintain competitive pricing.

Qualifications:
