Job summary

ONICON Inc in Largo, FL seeks a driven Sales & Applications Engineer to join our team on-site. You will handle inbound calls and emails, quote and specify ONICON products, and collaborate with customers, reps, and engineers to drive order success.

You’ll develop product and application expertise, read engineering drawings, prepare submittals, and support high‑profile projects while mentoring less experienced staff and coordinating with service and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree preferred with 2+ years in HVAC or building automation.
• Two-year technical degree with 6+ years of related experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CAD experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates with Customer Service Team, Sales Managers, and Independent Reps to meet annual sales goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develops and maintains technical and applications expertise with all ONICON products.
• Maintains expertise with ONICON’s order entry system.
• Prepares quotations and responds to technical inquiries in a timely manner.
• Reads engineering specifications and drawings to quote the appropriate ONICON products.

Education

Four-year engineering degree (preferred)

Two-year technical degree with 6+ years experience may be considered
