Job summary

Baxter International in the United States is seeking a Manager, Sales Training and Enablement to lead the design and delivery of training for our field teams. You will partner with commercial colleagues and subject matter experts to launch new products and improve selling skills.

The role travels up to 50% and reports to the Sales Training Manager. A bachelor’s degree and 6 years in field sales or sales training are required; strong presentation, analytical, and communication skills are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 6 years field sales and/or sales training experience in medical devices or healthcare preferred.
  • Proven record of delivering high-quality presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Strong decision making and independent work capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies for hospital capital equipment and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, and deliver multifaceted virtual and live training sessions with SMEs.
  • Develop training in partnership with commercial teams for launch readiness of new products.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to align training with strategy and product implementation.
  • Design and implement continuous training to maintain sales force & clinician efficiency.
  • Lead new hire classes and provide assessments; share performance updates with managers.
  • Analyze training metrics to evaluate impact and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with partners to ensure successful launch training events.
  • Travel up to 50% (US and international).

The Sales Training Manager is responsible for developing and delivering content and tools to train sales professionals on product, selling skills, healthcare market, and clinical content areas.

What you'll be doing
  • Partner with internal team members and subject matter experts to craft, construct, and deliver multifaceted virtual and live training sessions.
  • Provide perspective while developing training in partnership with commercial colleagues that fully prepare the CCS teams to launch and sell new products prior to launch.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales team members to conduct training approaches that support the tactical implementation of our marketing strategy and product implementation.
  • Work closely with marketing on continuous design, delivery, and implementation of training to maintain sales force and clinician operational efficiency in the marketplace.
  • Implement new learning tools and innovative training delivery to increase retention for launch products.
  • Lead new hire classes, including facilitation of training sessions and assessments; update managers on new hire performance.
  • Analyze metrics to determine evaluate the opportunities and success of the training sessions.
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to ensure the successful execution of the launch training event.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time (US and International).
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (focus in education, business, marketing or instructional design related field is preferred).
  • 6 years field sales and/or sales training experience (Medical device, hospital capital equipment, medical device technology, healthcare IT preferred).
  • Proven record of delivering high-quality presentations that resonate with audiences at various learning levels.
  • Proven success working independently with sound decision making skills.
  • Capable in written and verbal communication, adept at presenting and interacting with customers from a diverse group of backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies for hospital capital equipment products and solutions preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of product knowledge and relevant customer call point needs to craft, develop, and implement training sessions to achieve desired results.
Compensation
  • The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 annually.
  • The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.
  • We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
  • Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
  • This position is also eligible for commission.
