Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Sales & Service Representative to promote banking products and deliver personalized customer service in Puerto Rico. You will greet customers, process service requests, open or update accounts, and refer solutions that meet their financial needs while maintaining compliance with BSA/AML and OFAC requirements.

The role requires 1–2 years in customer-facing roles, bilingual English/Spanish, and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of customer-oriented experience in banking or related field.
• Minimum 24 credits toward associate or bachelor’s degree; coursework in banking.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of banking laws and regulations such as Know Your Customer and Bank Secrety Act.
• MS Office proficiency and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote, refer and sell bank products and services to customers.
• Establish and develop relationships to address customers’ financial needs.
• Identify new relationship opportunities and participate in internal/external sales activities.
• Maintain files for new accounts and process service requests according to procedures.

A Brief Overview

The Sales and Service Representative is responsible to promoteall banking products and services of the Bank in accordance with the SalesCulture, best practices following the operational policies and procedures.

Accountablefor adhering to the Bank’s BSA, AML and Office of Foreign Asset Control(OFCA) applicable policies. Employeemust follow specific unit procedures developed in compliance with the policies.Employee is also responsible for reporting any suspicious activity and/ortransactions in accordance with the Bank’s processes and comply with anymandatory BSA, AML and OFAC training assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Identifies and prospects potential customers within the market pace and bank, through internal cross-sell activities or marketplace visits and activities.
• Promotes, refers and sells bank products and services to potential and existing customers, meeting business goals and objectives.
• Establishes and develops products and service relationships with customer addressing their financial needs.
• Identifies new relations opportunities, develops internal or external activities in conjunction with the Branch Sales Assistant Manager and participates in internal and external sales activities in order to achieve goals.
• Contributes to the Branch growth by applying the Sales Culture and OSS Program, achieving goals, working plans and following administrative procedures.
• Complies with the branch Sales Culture, goals, working plans and administrative procedures.
• Complies with all related laws and regulations, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Truth in Lending, Truth in Sales, US Patriot Act and Community Reimbursement Act, among others.
• Complies with all operational activities and procedures related to his/her scope of responsibility. This includes but is not limited to inquire potential customers and gather accurate information.
• Provides service to customers and gives orientation to promote the products and services. Also manages inquires and brings solutions to support the retention.
• Perform service requests transactions and other inquires within Bank service and operational standards and objectives.
• Maintains file and keep up dated filling for new and canceled accounts.
• Completes files for new accounts following the operational procedures established for each product, within the required timeframe.
• Support the Branch Sales Assistant Manager/Branch Operations Assistant Manager with administrative tasks, as requested.
• Perform greeter duties when needed.
• Assistsbranch and Retail & Business Banking in special projects and assignments.

What You'll Need:

• One(1) to two (2) years of experience in customer orientation and knowledge ofbanking products and services.
• A minimum of 24 credits toward anassociate or bachelor’s degree, or coursework related to banking, isrequired.
• Bachelor’s degree in businessadministration or related field, is preferred.
• Candidates with a combination ofpractical experience, relevant training, and academic preparation may alsoqualify if they demonstrate the required skills and competencies.
• Knowledgeof banking laws and regulations such as: Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act.
• Computer literate in the use of MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fully Bilingual, preferable.
• Sales, Customer Service andPresentation skills are a most.
• Available to work holiday days, weekends, and flexible schedule.
