Job Summary

The Sales and Service Associate II (SSA II) is responsible for providing exceptional customer service through the efficient management of customer interactions, offering solutions based on customer needs. This role involves transaction processing, establishing new customer relationships, and enhancing existing ones through in-branch and phone interactions.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Attract and retain customer relationships by delivering in-person and phone customer service, identifying needs, and suggesting appropriate products and services.
• Serve as the primary contact for transaction processing, new account opening, problem resolution, and account maintenance.
• Handle transactions at the teller line and assist with customer conversations and new account openings.
• Receive deposits, verify amounts, examine checks, and process deposits and withdrawals.
• Provide a range of customer services including wire transfers, account updates, and maintenance.
• Maintain control and balance of the vault as the vault custodian.
• Participate in training, meetings, and branch activities.
• Promote and offer bank products and services, including checking, savings, loans, and digital banking.
• Make referrals for additional financial services and products.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies, regulations, and laws, including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC.
• Complete mandatory compliance training and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of public contact or sales experience.
• Experience in SSA or similar role at a financial institution.
• Strong PC and technology skills, familiarity with banking regulations.
• Knowledge of teller systems, account opening, transaction processing, and sales skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, organized, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in relevant field.
