Job summary

Ace Hardware Armada in Armada, MI is seeking friendly associates to help neighbors with home improvement projects. You’ll greet customers, offer practical advice, and keep the sales floor organized.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with plumbing and lawn care, processing transactions, stocking shelves, and collaborating with teammates to maintain a safe, inviting store environment. Weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk on the sales floor for the duration of a shift.
• Comfort with lifting, carrying, and stocking up to 40 pounds.
• Basic math and computer skills for transactions and inventory lookups.
• Prior retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Flexible availability including weekends and occasional evenings.
• Interest in home improvement, gardening, or DIY projects.

• Listen to customer needs and provide clear, practical advice on projects ranging from plumbing repairs to lawn care.
• Maintain organized aisles and ensure our shelves are well-stocked so neighbors can find exactly what they need.
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately to process purchases, returns, and exchanges.
• Participate in receiving new shipments and ensuring products are accurately tagged and displayed.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to keep the store clean, safe, and inviting for everyone in Armada.
