Job description

This is a contract role through Magnit for our client, Airbnb. This role if fully remote in the United States. This is a W-2 position and no Corp to Corp allowed.

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two Hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home and has since grown to over 4 million Hosts who have welcomed more than 1 billion guest arrivals in more than 100, 000 cities and towns located in 220+ countries and regions across the globe. Every day, Hosts offer unique stays and one‑of‑a‑kind activities that make it possible for guests to experience the world in a more authentic, connected way.

Airbnb was born with a creative spirit, and it’s one of the most defining parts of our culture. We use our curiosity and imagination to come up with unconventional solutions. These are the ideas at the core of Airbnb:

  • Our community is based on connection and belonging.
  • Our creativity allows us to imagine new possibilities for people.
  • Our responsibility is to all of our stakeholders.
  • It takes a unified team committed to our core values to embody these ideas, and our fast-moving team is committed to leading as a 21st century company.

About the role:

Airbnb's SLGS (Scaled Lead Gen and Sales) program uses outsourced vendor sales teams to convert leads into New Active Listings (NALs). We are building the second wave of reporting for this program and need a contract analyst to own the build: define the core rate metrics, extend the existing funnel dashboard, and answer a defined set of business questions about connection rate and funnel health.

This is a hands-on delivery role. You will spend most of your time in SQL and BI tooling, working from a written requirements doc, with clear P0/P1 priorities and named business stakeholders.

What you'll do:

Define and build the rate metric layer. Attempt rate, connection rate, connect rate per attempt, connected / unconnected / blended conversion rates, and conversion lift from connection — with documented definitions agreed with stakeholders.

Extend funnel reporting. Produce versions of the existing funnel dashboard indexed to lead assigned and to lead attempted, and add connected vs. unconnected sections covering leads connected, leads converted, attributable listings, avg. listings per converted lead, and attributable AABLs.

Answer the business questions. How connection rate moves over time; how it differs by region, vendor, lead source, and agent; the impact of extended outreach sequences and the telephony rollout; attempts-to-connection and connect rate by attempt number; whether phone or email drives first connection; where rate is declining (e.g. NAMER in July) and what top-performing vendor agents do differently.

Quantify the funnel impact Conversion for connected vs. unconnected leads, share of total NAL volume from each, whether the gap holds across regions/vendors/segments, and whether connected conversion degrades as connect rate rises.

Diagnose funnel health. Identify the largest step losses and compare actuals to plan at every step.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in an analytics , BI, or data analyst role, ideally supporting sales, growth, or lifecycle funnels.
  • Strong SQL, including window functions and cohort/time-to-event logic on large event-level datasets.
  • Python for deeper analysis beyond BI tooling.
  • Proven dashboard delivery in a modern BI tool (Tableau, Superset, Looker, or similar) — not just ad-hoc analysis.
  • Experience defining metrics from ambiguous requirements and getting cross-functional sign-off on definitions.
  • Comfortable building metrics that slice cleanly and combinable across multiple dimensions: region (NAMER, EMEA, APAC, LATAM), vendor (Jumpcrew, Teleperformance, TDCX, and new vendors), lead source (SIO, Winback Unlisted, Winback Deleted, NBLs), and market/country where volume supports it.
  • Rigor about data quality, reconciliation to plan and to Finance-maintained numbers, and clear documentation.
  • Able to work independently against a written requirements backlog and communicate findings to non-technical partners.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with outbound sales telephony, dialer, or CRM data (e.g. Salesforce) and outreach-sequence data.
  • Background analyzing BPO / outsourced vendor performance.
  • Python for deeper analysis beyond BI tooling.
  • Familiarity with marketplace supply acquisition or two-sided marketplace funnels.
